Fidelity FutureStage, the producers of
Billy Elliot the Musical, and Elton John invite your students to participate in the 2010 Fidelity FutureStage Playwriting Contest presented by
Billy Elliot the Musical.
Students from New York Tri-State Area are invited to write a 10-minute play. Prizes will be given to the top 25 submissions. One Grand Prize winner will win a trip to see opening night of
Billy Elliot the Musical
in Chicago, walk the red carpet, attend the after party and have his/her play produced on Broadway in June.
TEACHERS: Register your class below to participate in the contest and receive
the following benefits:
- A free one-class period playwriting workshop taught by a Broadway professional to be scheduled during school hours from January 19 to March 5, 2010 (subject to availability).
- A four-class playwriting curriculum, compliant with National Curriculum Standards and the New York City Blueprint for the Arts. The curriculum can be adapted to be taught in single or multiple sessions.
